DAILY SKINCARE DO'S AND DON'TS
DAILY SKINCARE DO'S AND DON'T
1. Wear Sunscreen Every Day
Generally, sunscreen should be reapplied every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. If you work indoors and sit away from windows, you may not need a second application. Be mindful of how often you step outside, though.
2. Do Wash Your Face
Ideally you should be washing your face twice a day (once in the morning and once at night), as well as after workouts or any other excessive sweating. But that's the maximum.
3. Do Moisturize Your Skin
Moisturizing Reduces Skin Problems – Moisturizing everyday can reduce the chance of developing extreme dryness or oiliness. Both extremes are harmful for skin and cause common skin conditions like acne.
4. Do Healthy Habits
Adopting new, healthier habits may protect you from serious health problems like obesity and diabetes. New habits, like healthy eating and regular physical activity, may also help you manage your weight and have more energy. After a while, if you stick with these changes, they may become part of your daily routine.
DON'T
1. Don't Smoke
While the most important benefit of quitting smoking is preventing disease and early death, there are many other advantages as well. You'll have fresher breath, whiter teeth and better smelling hair and clothes. Your sense of smell with return to normal, and food will taste better.
2. Skimp on Sleep
Inadequate sleep has been linked to increased hunger, fatigue and an increased consumption of total calories. Sleep restriction causes significant metabolic changes such as decreased leptin and elevated ghrelin. This means lack of sleep increases a person's appetite.
3. Don't Over-do Your Makeup
Michele Green, MD, an cosmetic dermatologist, agreed that giving skin a rest from makeup can help reduce and improve breakouts. “There's more oxygen that'll be delivered to your face; your skin will have more time to repair itself and regenerate its elastin and collagen," says Dr.
4. Forget the SPF
Your skin is going to get burned if you skip wearing sunscreen. This one is an obvious result of not wearing sunscreen and is also painful. Getting a sunburn is the first sign of sun damage and it's frustratingly painful. It will result in itchiness, redness, and hotness.
